Alec Baldwin makes insane revelation about his post-‘Rust’ shooting thoughts

Actor Alec Baldwin just revealed that he had fears that former President Donald Trump would have his supporters target him, even violently, over the Rust shooting, Fox News reports.

Baldwin made the claim during a recent interview that he did with CNN’s Chloe Melas. The interview was broadcasted Friday on CNN’s New Day.

Baldwin’s worry

During the interview, Baldwin said that the “only time” that he was “worried” about the consequences of the Rust shooting, which left one dead and another injured, was following Trump’s take on the situation.

“The former President of the United States said, ‘he probably shot her on purpose,'” Baldwin said.

The actor continued:

To me, [that] was the only time I thought that I needed – that I was worried what was going to happen. Because here was Trump, who instructed people to commit acts of violence and he was pointing the finger at me and saying, I was responsible for the death.

Trump weighed in on the Rust shooting during an appearance on the Chris Stigall Show podcast last November. Contrary to what Baldwin claimed, Trump never said that Baldwin “probably shot her on purpose.”

Rather, Trump’s main point during the interview was that it was “weird” that Baldwin would point the gun at somebody and pull the trigger, even if it was just a prop gun.

Trump said:

It’s weird. Who would take a gun and point it at a cinematographer and pull the trigger, and she’s dead? As bad as it may have been kept, meaning you know the people that take care of the equipment and the guns and everything else… But even if it was loaded, and that’s a weird thing— maybe he loaded it.

Baldwin disputes key point

The FBI investigation of the shooting has found that the prop gun that Baldwin had in his hands – that fired and led to the death of Halyna Hutchins – could not have been fired without the trigger being pulled.

This contradicts Baldwin’s repeated claim that he did not pull the trigger.

Baldwin restated this claim, once again, during the CNN interview, saying that he pulled the hammer back but did not pull the trigger. Baldwin also revealed that he has hired a private investigator to look into the situation.

The big question that remains is whether criminal charges will be brought against Baldwin. Baldwin suggested during the interview that he does not expect there to be any.
