Arizona attorney general and primary candidate blasts Biden’s ‘insane’ immigration policy

Arizona’s Republican attorney general blasted President Biden’s “insane” open border policy and the effect it is having on border communities in the state.

Mark Brnovich, who is running in the state’s Republican Senate primary, told a local NBC affiliate that Biden is effectively incentivizing people to break into the country unlawfully.

Brnovich blasts Biden’s “insane” border policy

Immigration will be a key issue in the border state’s August Republican primaries, in which Brnovich is running for a chance to challenge Democratic senator Mark Kelly. President Trump has given his coveted endorsement to venture capitalist Blake Masters.

Anxious not to be outflanked, Brnovich visited Yuma, a city near the border, to highlight the impact of the border crisis there.

There have been over 200,000 encounters in the Yuma sector of the border this fiscal year, and there were more than 30,000 in May alone.

Biden’s policies are “overwhelming” border towns like Yuma, Brnovich lamented. He said Biden’s approach isn’t fair to Americans or immigrants who are exploited by human traffickers. America is a land of immigrants, but immigrants have to come legally, he said.

“What the Biden administration has done is not fair to anyone. It’s not humane, it’s insane because they have incentivized and decriminalized people breaking the law and coming into our country illegally, and it’s overwhelming the system and it’s overwhelming Yuma,” Brnovich said.

Biden unleashes chaos at the border

Under Biden, the United States’ effectively open border has drawn illegal immigrants at rates never seen before, with more than 1.5 million having already been apprehended so far during this fiscal year.

Border crossings hit another monthly record in May as Biden moved to end Title 42, one of the few border control policies left from the Trump era, with apprehensions surging to 240,000.

Roughly 100,000 were expelled under Title 42, which remains in effect despite Biden’s efforts to kill it. President Trump enacted the policy on public health grounds that Biden officials say are no longer relevant, although that hasn’t stopped Biden from continuing to bully Americans into taking COVID vaccines.

Biden officials have acknowledged that as many as 18,000 immigrants could start storming the border if the Title 42 policy is rescinded.

But migrants appear to have already gotten the message that Biden won’t stop them as a large caravan makes its way to the southern border from Latin America.
