Citizens of Denmark had a frightening news report hit the wire over the weekend as it was reported on Sunday that a mass gunman opened fire on innocent bystanders at a shopping mall located in Copenhagen.
According to Fox News, at least three people died as a result of the brazen attack, and several more were injured and sent to nearby hospitals.
The Daily Beast reported that the suspect who opened fire apparently did not have any political motives to do so, and was classified as “mentally ill.”
The outlet added: “The spray of rifle bullets killed two 17-year-olds from Denmark and a 47-year-old Russian man.”
The 22-year-old mentally ill man was described as an “ethnic Dane,” and police assured the public that, so far in their investigation, there isn’t a known connection to terrorism.
“They have no indication that other attackers were involved and urged shop owners to preserve any video surveillance footage they might have,” BBC reported.
Photos of the alleged suspect being arrested by Danish police emerged on Sunday across social media.

What about gun laws?
The shooting in Copenhage was yet another prime example of why restrictive gun laws do virtually nothing to prevent mass shootings from happening. Denmark’s gun laws are strict.
My heart goes out to the victims of the mass shooting in Copenhagen.
Gun laws are incredibly strict in Denmark, but yet this shooting occurred.
You can’t legislate away evil.

Evil exists, and it will always find a way to rear its ugly head. No amount of gun laws will ever stop that, no matter how many times the left insists otherwise.
An armed citizenry is the best defense against bad guys with guns. Every time.
