Maricopa County audit results flag nearly 50,000 votes as potentially fraudulent: Report

America finally has the results of the controversial Maricopa County, Arizona, audit of the 2020 presidential election.

Breitbart reports that the Maricopa County audit calls into question around 49,000 votes that were cast in the 2020 presidential election, causing concern for many in the Republican-led state Senate.

Maricopa County accounted for roughly two-thirds of the votes that were cast in Arizona during the 2020 presidential election — about 2.1 million out of 3.4 million total votes. Specifically, 1.9 million of the 2.1 million votes in the county were votes that were either cast by mail or inserted in drop boxes.

Officially, President Joe Biden beat former President Donald Trump, 1,672,143 to 1,661,686. That’s a margin of only 10,457 votes. However, the audit is raising questions about some 49,000 votes, which is roughly five times more votes than the margin of victory.

Specific findings

According to the report released by the Arizona State Senate on Friday, 49,718 votes cast in the 2020 presidential election are being called into question due to the results of the audit.

The votes were deemed to have had a critical, high, or medium “potential impact” on the 2020 presidential election.

The auditors focused on four areas: voter history, paper ballots, voting machines, and the certified results. Of the 49,718 votes, some 34,466 of them were flagged in the voter history phase, 12,660 in the certified results phase, and 2,592 in the ballot phase. None were flagged for the voting machine phase.

The specific reasons why the votes were flagged are numerous. For example, 23,344 votes were flagged because they were cast by individuals who no longer lived at the address to which the mail-in ballot was sent; 5,292 were flagged because they were voters who potentially voted in multiple counties; 2,382 were flagged because these people voted before moving out of Maricopa County; and, 2,081 were flagged because these people moved out of state.

The auditors also found what many believe to be serious discrepancies. For example, the report indicates that 9,041 more ballots were returned by voters than were received during the voter history phase; 3,432 more ballots were cast than the list of people who voted; 2,592 more duplicates exist than original ballots; and, 1,551 more votes were counted than those who voted in the certified results phase.

What of it?

The mainstream media is already attempting to sweep the findings of the audit under the rug. Instead, many in the mainstream media have focused on a portion of the audit report that states that the auditors found little difference between “the results of the hand-recount of the Presidential Race of the Maricopa County Forensic Audit” and the Maricopa County Canvass.

They have also zeroed in on the section of the report that shows that the audit found that Biden’s victory over Trump was 360 votes more than it was shown to be by the Maricopa County Canvass.

What the mainstream media is not reporting about, though, are the 49,718 votes that have been called into question. Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich (R) released a statement saying: “I will take all necessary actions that are supported by the evidence and where I have legal authority. Arizonans deserve to have their votes accurately counted and protected.”
