Barack and Michele Obama embarking on new media venture with Amazon

The Obamas have nested comfortably in the globalist ruling class since leaving the White House, inking numerous production deals with media companies and selling memoirs like hot cakes.

In their latest lucrative venture, the power couple will make millions producing podcasts for Amazon’s Audible.

Obamas sign deal

The deal comes as the couple’s production company, Higher Ground, is set to end an exclusive contract with Spotify in October.

At Audible, the Obamas will tell “meaningful and entertaining stories that elevate diverse voices and experiences” under an “exclusive, worldwide, multi-project, multi-year first-look production deal,” the company said.

Audible founder Don Katz called the Obamas “two of the most profound voices of moral and intellectual leadership of our times.” Yuck.

The Obamas shared buzzwordy statements hyping up their new deal. Barack Obama made clear that he’s not interested in the money but “[lifting] up voices that deserve to be heard” with “stories that not only entertain but also inspire.” How original.

His wife said that “we will keep striving to tell compelling, provocative, and soulful stories—while doing everything we can to make sure they reach the folks who need to hear them.”

Woke media deals

The Obamas’ current projects include the Spotify podcasts The Michelle Obama Podcast, Renegades: Born in the USA, featuring Barack Obama and Bruce Springsteen, Tell Them, I Am, which features stories from Muslim narrators, and Sum of Us, based on the book The Sum of Us: What Racism Costs Everyone and How We Can Prosper Together by Heather McGhee.

The couple also have a deal with Netflix, where they produced a film adaptation of Michelle Obama’s best-selling memoir, Becoming, and a series on America’s national parks narrated by her husband.

Upcoming projects include Rustin, a film about the gay socialist and civil rights figure Bayard Rustin.

Audible didn’t go into detail on what the Obamas will produce, but if the past is any indication, it will be banal, woke, thoroughly middlebrow, and mostly about themselves.

You have to hand it to the Obamas: they know how to grift like the best of them.
