Barr says Democrat rumor Trump will refuse to leave office is ‘crap’

Attorney General Bill Barr just went public with his opinion on Democrat fears that Donald Trump will refuse to leave office if he loses the election, bluntly calling the rumors “crap” in a recent interview.

Bill Barr pulled no punches in a Monday interview with the Chicago Tribune, going after Democrats over a number of issues.

Barr has had enough

Barr, who is almost as frequently targeted by the left as Donald Trump is, has clearly lost patience with Democrat hysteria surrounding the election — among other things — and is no longer sugar-coating his opinions.

Barr agreed to the interview to discuss crime and law enforcement in Chicago, which has been a target of the Justice Department’s Operation Legend which seeks to quell violence in American cities.

Barr veered off course during the appearance, however, taking some time to go on the offensive against Democrat conspiracy theorists seeking to undermine the upcoming election.

“You know liberals project,” Barr said during the interview. “You know the president is going to stay in office and seize power and all that s***? I’ve never heard of that crap. I mean, I’m the attorney general. I would think I would have heard about it.”

“There undoubtedly are many people in the government who surreptitiously work to thwart the administration,” Barr told the Chicago Tribune’s John Kass.

Barr acknowledged that as attorney general, he’s “not supposed to get into politics,” but explained that he’s worried that “we are getting into a position where we’re going to find ourselves irrevocably committed to a socialist path. And I think if Trump loses this election — that will be the case.”

Pressure rises

Democrats and Republicans both appear to agree that the 2020 election is one of the most important elections in American history, and Barr is no exception.

Barr has gone all-in against mail-in ballots, reiterating during the interview that he’s worried about the integrity of the election as Democrats push for universal mail-in voting. “There’s no more secret vote with mail-in vote. A secret vote prevents selling and buying votes. So now we’re back in the business of selling and buying votes,” Barr remarked.

The attorney general pointed out that at the same time that Democrats are actively undermining the integrity of the election, they’re also sowing doubts in American voters’ minds that the results of the election will not be valid if Donald Trump wins.

“They’re creating an incendiary situation where there will be loss of confidence in the vote,” Barr claimed. “It’ll be a close vote. People will say the president just won Nevada. ‘Oh, wait a minute! We just discovered 100,000 ballots! Every vote will be counted!’ Yeah, but we don’t know where these freaking votes came from.”
