Joy Behar warns of ‘the end of democracy’ if Trump wins re-election: Reports

While polls show Democratic White House hopeful Joe Biden with a steady advantage over President Donald Trump, liberal talking heads like ABC’s Joy Behar haven’t shaken off the terrors of 2016 just yet.

The View co-host shared her anxieties Thursday, remarking that President Trump could very well win on Nov. 3 — and if he does, it will be “the end of democracy” and America as we know it, Behar alleged, according to the Daily Caller.

“It’s the end of this country”

According to Breitbart, Behar confided Thursday that she is concerned that “these white non-college people” are enthusiastic about voting for Trump, and that Republicans are signing up voters in swing states.

The co-host of The View then oddly suggested that it would spell the “end of democracy” if Americans decide to re-elect Trump, calling on Democrats to not be complacent about the election.

“It looks like Biden’s going to pull it off, but people should not get complacent,” she said, as the Daily Caller reported. “I worry about the possible four years of this, and it’s the end of democracy. It’s the end of this country, four more years of this. I believe that.”

Behar went on to lament that America would be truly “doomed” if conservatives take control of the Supreme Court and Republicans hold onto their Senate majority.

“Especially when they own the Supreme Court and, God forbid, they take the Senate again, we’re doomed,” Behar said, according to Breitbart. “We’re doomed. People better go out there and vote. That’s all I have to say.”

“The beginning of the end”

Coming from someone who has spent years calling Trump a “domestic terrorist,” a “fascist,” and a Russian agent whose every move is coordinated with Vladimir Putin, these omens are admittedly a little hard to take seriously. When Trump sent federal agents to Portland to quell riots this summer, Behar said it was “Putin’s plan,” as Fox News reported.

“This is the beginning of the end of democracy. If we re-elect this guy, I don’t even want to think about what will happen to this country,” she said in July, according to Fox.

Apparently, this time, it’s for real.

Like many of her liberal friends, it sounds like Behar is actually concerned that democracy might malfunction a second time by allowing someone she personally dislikes back into the Oval Office.

But the bottom line is that Democracy will be just fine if Trump gets four more years. As for those suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome? Well, that’s another question.
