Robert Francis “Beto” O’Rourke reminded Americans why no one takes him seriously during a campaign stop in Texas Wednesday, where he lost his cool and cursed out a voter like a mouthy teenager.
The Democrat, who is running for governor of the state, called a heckler in the audience a “motherf-cker,” Conservative Brief reported.
O’Rourke loses his cool
O’Rourke was spewing his party’s typical, banal rhetoric about the AR-15 being a “weapon of war” as he addressed the recent mass shooting in Uvalde, Texas.
When someone in the crowd broke into laughter, O’Rourke, who is 49 years old, shouted, “It may be funny for you, (expletive), but it’s not funny to me, OK?”
The comment was well-received by the crowd, which started cheering.
O’Rourke made it sound like the man was laughing at the slaughter of children in Uvalde, but it seems more likely the man was reacting to O’Rourke’s dramatic, goofy delivery and oh-so-predictable talking points. See for yourself:

Will Beto ever grow up?
O’Rourke gave up his seat in Congress to run a failed campaign for Senate against Republican Ted Cruz in 2018, which O’Rourke followed up with a failed run for the presidency.
The Democrat is hoping that fearmongering about guns will somehow compensate for his lack of charisma or talent and convince voters to back him in his current bid against Republican Governor Greg Abbott.
O’Rourke, who is known for his obnoxious, attention-seeking behavior, saw backlash in May when he disrupted a press conference led by Abbott about the Uvalde shooting and started grandstanding about guns.
“The time to stop the next shooting is right now, and you’re doing nothing,” he shouted.
During his failed run for the presidency, O’Rourke earned the lasting ire of gun owners when he declared, “Hell yes, we’re gonna take your AR-15.” Maybe someday, O’Rourke will learn to speak like an adult.
