Harris, national Dems fall far short in bid to rally support for Virginia’s Terry McAuliffe

It seems Kamala Harris may not be able to count on liberals to cushion her nosedive in the polls for much longer.

According to Fox News, America’s deeply unlikeable vice president and other big names in her party failed to motivate voters in Virginia to vote for Clinton crony Terry McAuliffe in this week’s gubernatorial race.

Virginia rejects Harris

Republican Glenn Youngkin’s upset victory has stunned the Democratic Party, and with good reason.

Only a year ago, Joe Biden carried the commonwealth by 10 points. Yet, in 10 months, Biden and his VP have somehow erased that advantage.

Anticipating embarrassment, Harris warned during her stop in Virginia that a failure to elect McAuliffe would set the Democrats back for years. “What happens in Virginia will in large part determine what happens in 2022, 2024 and on,” Harris said, according to Fox. “You gonna bring this home, right? Yes you are.”

Dems receive stunning rebuke

In comments that didn’t age well, former President Barack Obama dismissed the concerns of parents as “fake outrage” while trying to push McAuliffe past the finish line, Fox reported separately.

But despite efforts by Harris and Obama, Youngkin soared to victory with a campaign that was closely targeted to parents upset with critical race theory and other issues related to what’s being taught in their kids’ classrooms.

President Biden, who had come under fire recently for sending the Department of Justice after parents, also did a bit of demagoguing, falsely claiming that Youngkin would “ban certain books” and trying to link the Republican to Donald Trump. According to the New York Post, Biden mentioned his immediate predecessor 24 times during one stop.

McAuliffe was also widely mocked for having top teachers’ union shill Randi Weingarten make an election eve appearance, Fox noted.

Dems on the decline

In the end, voters rejected Harris, the school boards, Obama, and the rest of the Democratic Party crooks who want to poison the minds of the next generation with divisive, racist garbage. Dems do not appear chastened by defeat, however, as liberal talking heads attack parents and double down on false talking points that critical race theory isn’t real.

To her credit, Harris seems to be taking Youngkin’s win in stride, saying, “It clearly was a fair election and I applaud the governor-elect,” according to The Hill.

The VP is clearly not well-liked by the American people, but maybe the bigger message here is that Democrats aren’t either. It turns out you need more than platitudes and anti-Trump posturing to win elections.
