Biden appearances continue to be marked by heckling

President Joe Biden appeared at a Labor Day campaign rally in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to support Democratic Senate candidate Mandela Barnes.

Yet as the Washington Examiner pointed out, security personnel had to interview at one point when Biden found himself being confronted by a heckler.

Biden says heckler and other “MAGA Republicans” want to “destroy democracy”

“All right, God love you. Let him go, let him go,” Biden said as the man was removed by security personnel, adding, “Let him go. He’s — look, everybody’s entitled to be an idiot.”

The president’s audience responded to his comment with laughter, after which Biden returned to his prepared remarks.

“Extreme MAGA Republicans don’t just threaten our personal rights and our economic security — they embrace political violence,” he declared.

The president went on to insist that the heckler and other “MAGA Republicans” are committed “[to] destroying democracy.”

Hecklers have dogged Biden in recent weeks

Monday’s incident was far from being the first time in recent weeks that the president has been confronted with heckling. During a controversial speech in Philadelphia last week, Biden liked a man who was heckling him to “some of our darkest moments.”

“Americans have often made the greatest progress coming out of some of our darkest moments, like you’re hearing in that bullhorn,” the New York Post quoted him as saying.

During a speech in Maryland late last month, Biden was confronted by a man who accused him of being a pedophile who “stole” the 2020 election.
