Did President Joe Biden forget calling MAGA Republicans a “threat to democracy” and calling on Americans to “stop” them just one day after he said it–or is he just continuing a pattern of talking out of both sides of his mouth?
The morning after a televised prime-time speech on Thursday night where he demonized Trump supporters and compared them to terrorists, Biden told Fox News reporter Peter Doocy that he didn’t think “any Trump supporter” was a threat.
Sure, he was probably just trying to have it both ways. He or his handlers want the message out that Republicans are dangerous, that they want to stop people from voting and take away your reproductive freedom and maybe even reverse gay marriage.
He said all that in the speech in front of a blood-red Independence Hall, looking like he was celebrating Halloween early, or maybe channeling Hitler or Mussolini or some other fascist dictator of a bygone era.
“Come on guys”
It would not be too surprising if he started trying to make it a criminal offense to be a Republican, or rounded them up in the street, after that horrible and un-American speech.
But the next morning, Biden turned from Dr. Hyde-like evil and foreboding back to Mr. Jeckyll Nice Guy, who just wants everyone to make good choices and stop trying to deny that he’s the rightful president.
“Come on, look, guys, you keep on and make that case,” Biden responded to Doocy’s request for clarification of his earlier remarks. “I don’t consider any Trump supporter to be a threat to the country. I do think anyone who calls for the use of violence, fails to condemn violence or who refuses to acknowledge an election has been won, who insists upon changing the way and the rules with which to count votes, that is a threat to democracy.”
Never mind that it is Biden and the Democrats who are trying to change election rules to benefit themselves and allow holes in the system wide enough to drive semi-trucks full of fraudulent mail-in ballots through.
It’s a twisted world over there on the left, and Biden’s speech proves it beyond a doubt.
But how much more twisted is it, if Biden really is a puppet and doesn’t remember what he said on Thursday night well enough to defend it on Friday morning?
If Americans are being hoodwinked into thinking Biden is in charge when he’s being controlled by who-knows-who behind the scenes because he’s no longer capable of leadership, it is a very grave ill being perpetrated on the country.
One that we need to correct at the earliest possible time and make sure it never, ever happens again.
