President Joe Biden, once again, was caught not sporting a face mask, Fox News reports.
The latest incident, which is one of many in recent months, took place on Friday evening when Biden ate in a private room at Imperfecto, a new restaurant launched by Enrique Limardo. Biden, according to Fox, failed to wear his mask when entering and exiting the swanky eatery.
The pattern continues
While it is true that Washington D.C. recently dropped its indoor mask mandate, the Biden White House continues to push for all Americans to wear masks, though science has proven on numerous occasions that it’s a mostly ineffective, foolish way to mitigate the spread of the virus.
White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki, in fact, just hours before Biden was caught maskless, noted that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is calling for the reinstatement of indoor mask mandates in high-transmission areas, such as D.C., given the emergence of the new omicron variant.
Not long ago, Biden was caught shopping over the Thanksgiving weekend in Nantucket, Massachusetts, without a mask on. That was despite the fact that the store had a large sign posted that mandates the wearing of a mask while inside.
Apparently, though, Biden is exempt from such rules, once again following the Democrats’ example of “rules for thee, but not for me.”
Is Biden sick?
What makes Friday’s violation even more questionable is the fact that Biden has come down with what he claims is the common cold.
“I’m OK, I have a test every day — a COVID test,” Biden responded when Fox News’ Peter Doocy asked him if he was feeling ill. “I have been checking for all the strains. What I have is a 1-and-a-half-year-old grandson, who had a cold, who loves to kiss his pop.”
Did he lie?
Of course, when it comes to Biden and his White House, it is difficult to know what to believe. White House physician Kevin O’Connor released a statement on Friday that contradicted at least some of what Biden said.
“As is readily apparent, President Biden is experiencing some increased nasal congestion this week,” O’Connor said. “This can be heard in his voice and he is feeling the colloquially well-known ‘frog in one’s throat.'”
O’Connor continued: “Investigation has included a comprehensive respiratory panel which includes 19 common respiratory pathogens, to include COVID-19, other coronaviruses, influenza, streptococcus, to name a few. All of these tests were negative. Including the above, he has been tested for COVID-19 three times this week.”
Despite his apparent illness, Biden also plans to attend the 44th annual Kennedy Center Honors ceremony on Sunday. Undoubtedly, all eyes will be on the president, at the very least, to see if he abides by his own incessant insistence that Americans continue to wear masks.
