Biden says voters have the ‘chance to rip the roots of systemic racism out of this country’ in November

In an Independence Day message, presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden said that electing him would be a “chance to rip the roots of systemic racism out of this country,” the Washington Examiner reported.

Claiming that America has never lived up to its ideals, Biden suggested in a video and companion op-ed for NBC News that if Americans just elect him as president, the country will be able to accomplish that feat after more than 240 years of existence.

“Our nation was founded on a simple idea: We’re all created equal. We’ve never lived up to it — but we’ve never stopped trying. This Independence Day, let’s not just celebrate those words, let’s commit to finally fulfill them,” Biden wrote in a tweet sharing the video on Saturday, according to the Examiner. Take a look:

Rewriting history

As Republican National Committee (RNC) spokesperson Liz Harrington said in an interview with Fox News over the weekend, Biden is leading Democrats in trying to rewrite a key founding document, the Declaration of Independence, to guarantee equality of outcome for everyone. That was never intended by the Founding Fathers, of course.

In his op-ed, Biden said, “Independence Day is a celebration of our persistent march toward greater justice — the natural expansion of our founding notion from ‘all men are created equal’ to ‘all people are created equal and should be treated equally throughout their lives.'”

But Harrington told Fox that in changing our fundamental American rights from “endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness” to “guaranteed equality throughout life,” the former vice president has embraced “radical left socialism” that will not just erode the country’s foundation, but “destroy it.”

And notice what part Biden leaves out completely in his rewriting? It’s very telling that the “Creator” is not mentioned in Democrats’ vision of America as they think it should be.

Where has Biden been?

As Harrington points out so clearly, Biden fully intends to not only “rewrite history,” but to “tear it all down” if he becomes president. But what has Biden been doing for the last 50 years in Congress and as vice president to change things?

According to Harrington, Biden spent “half a century in Washington and never delivered on those promises” to make things better for members of minority communities. President Donald Trump, meanwhile, accomplished more in three years more than Biden did in 50 — delivering the lowest black unemployment rate since before Biden entered government, according to The Center Square, and bringing millions out of poverty.

Indeed, Harrington said, “President Trump did it once, [and] he’s already doing it again.” On the other hand, “Biden represents the failures of the last 50 years,” according to Harrington.

Who would want to put him in charge of the whole country with that track record?
