Biden rolling back Title 42 to allow more illegal immigrants to enter nation while extending airline mask mandate

The Biden administration is set to roll back the Trump-era Title 42 policy that allows Border Patrol to deny entry to illegal immigrants due to health concerns.

Despite ending the policy at the border, the White House has extended the federal travel mask mandate yet another month.

A massive influx

“Former President Trump had invoked Title 42 in 2020, the first time in American history that the order was used at the border to ensure that American citizens were protected from viral infections, diseases, and illnesses that border crossers and illegal aliens could be carrying, specifically coronavirus,” Breitbart News reported.

“Biden officials admit that lifting Title 42 is likely to bring a massive influx of border crossers and illegal aliens to the border – all with the hopes of being released into the U.S. interior,” it added.

8,000 per day

Tennessee Republican Sen. Bill Hagerty recently traveled to the southern border to see the border crisis firsthand.

“Border Patrol agents told me this weekend, ‘we have the capacity to handle 5,000 people per day. Right now, we’re getting close to 8,000 per day. When the Biden Admin ends Title 42, we’re afraid we’ll be at 15,000 per day.’ Ending Title 42 during a record crisis is madness,” he wrote.

Former Vice President Mike Pence also spoke out about the dangers of ending Title 42, claiming it will make the border crisis “even worse.”

The contradictory decisions may make political sense for Democrats, but put Americans in a worse situation regarding the border and in frustration over a useless mask mandate while traveling.
