As Election Day draws closer, more and more political commentators are speaking out about Joe Biden’s ability to lead — or apparent lack thereof.
According to Fox News, Joe Rogan said on a recent episode of his podcast that Biden “seems to be mentally compromised.” It’s just the latest unofficial diagnosis of the former vice president, who others have alleged is suffering from “a degenerative neurological disorder” like dementia.
Indeed, a late June poll from Rasmussen suggested that “nearly 40[%] of registered American voters believe former Vice President Joe Biden has ‘some form of dementia,'” The Sun reported. And it seems Rogan is among them.
Rogan made his opinion known during Wednesday’s episode of his podcast, The Joe Rogan Show. “I believe there is also a large group of people that are very uncomfortable with a man who seems to be mentally compromised winning the election and doing so by hiding,” he said of Biden, according to Fox.
“I mean the guy is never out,” the podcast host added in a clip shared by the Daily Caller. “He was just at another thing the other day and he forgot where he was.”

He said what?
Biden, for his part, has been critical of those openly questioning his mental acuity. Most recently, the former VP spoke with CBS News’ Errol Barnett on Wednesday, where Biden was asked if he had ever undergone a test of his cognitive abilities, as Fox reported.
“No, I haven’t taken a test. Why the hell would I take a test?” Biden shot back, according to Fox. “Come on, man. That’s like saying you, before you got on this program, you take a test where you’re taking cocaine or not. What do you think? Huh? Are you a junkie?”
After the exchange with Barnett, who is Black, went viral, Biden’s campaign issued a statement that did little to quell criticism: “It was a preposterous question deserving of a response that showed the absurdity of it all,” a spokesperson said, according to Fox.
“An unbelievable thing”
President Donald Trump, meanwhile, has taken to highlighting his own mental sharpness in contrast with Biden’s. While the former VP has openly refused to take a cognitive test, Trump told Fox personality Sean Hannity last month that he had recently “aced” one.
“I took it at Walter Reed Medical Center in front of doctors and they were very surprised. They said, ‘That’s an unbelievable thing. Rarely does anyone do what you just did,'” Trump recalled, according to USA Today.
The president also called on Biden to give the test “a try” — but no word yet on whether Uncle Joe will accept that challenge.
