Biden sent letter to son's business partner while serving as vice president

Fox News reported this week that it has obtained a letter that President Joe Biden sent to one of his son's business partners.

Sent in January of 2011 when Biden was serving as vice president under then-President Barack Obama, the letter references an event he held with then-Chinese President Hu Jintao.

"I hope I get a chance to see you again soon with Hunter"

"I apologize for not getting a chance to talk to you at the luncheon yesterday. I was having trouble getting away from hosting President Hu," Biden wrote.

"I hope I get a chance to see you again soon with Hunter. I hope you enjoyed the lunch. Thanks for coming," he continued before adding, "Happy you guys are together."

For his part, Archer discussed the letter that Biden sent him during an interview last week with former Fox News host Tucker Carlson.

Archer says Biden knew business partners were present

What's more, Archer said the president "definitively" knew that his son's business partners were present when he called into meetings.

Biden's letter to Archer further undermines his longtime claim of having never discussed business matters with his son.

Biden claimed to have "never discussed" business

One example came during a campaign event in 2019 when Biden told reporters, "I have never discussed with my son or my brother or anyone else anything to do with their business."

The future president later doubled down on that message during a presidential primary debate, insisting to CNN host Anderson Cooper, "I never discussed a single thing with my son about anything having to do with Ukraine."
