President Joe Biden is such an unpopular phony that he’s facing pushback for claiming to care about the nation’s veterans.
What should have been a non-controversial tweet touting veterans as “the backbone” of America was greeted with widespread criticism from skeptical conservatives and frustrated liberals, Twitchy reported.
Biden swings and misses
Detractors were quick to point out that Biden has shown indifference or hostility to service members on several occasions. Most infamously, Biden was caught checking his watch during a ceremony for 13 troops killed in a terror bombing during Biden’s chaotic evacuation from Afghanistan.
Less than 1% of the population risks everything to defend our nation, our values, and everything we hold dear.
Veterans are the backbone of who we are as a country.

One user responded with an image of Air Force veteran Ashli Babbitt, an unarmed woman who was shot dead without warning during the Capitol “insurrection.” Biden has said that Babbitt and others at the Capitol were “domestic terrorists,” so presumably Biden thinks Babbitt got what she deserved.
Others noted that Biden has treated service members with malice for rejecting the COVID vaccine, which Biden made mandatory for the military.
Biden also offended many Americans recently when he appeared to forget to commemorate D-Day. One Twitter user responded to Biden’s tweet by sarcastically thanking him for remembering “the military on a random Friday in June.” Ouch.
Phony Biden losing popularity
Meanwhile, liberals complained about Biden’s broken promises to wipe student loan debt, with one replying, “Day 39 of me asking @POTUS to forgive student loans.”
Some veterans responded to Biden by relating hardships they have endured.
“Then why am I disabled and have a work history of 32 years and an Honorable discharge after 10+ years? I had to blow through my entire retirement to keep my house, which is a VA loan now in forbearance for the past 13 months,” one veteran said.
Unlike his predecessor, who showed genuine admiration for the troops, Biden treats them like a stage prop: in 2016, Biden notoriously called a crowd of service members “stupid bastards” to their faces.
Biden’s every move is a political calculation, and everybody can see it. He has squandered so much goodwill that even the most basic appeals to national unity aren’t working in his favor. It’s no wonder his party can’t stop talking about Jan. 6.
