Biden campaign staffer caught bashing police officers as worse than ‘pigs’

A video producer for presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden openly called for police departments to be defunded and referred to officers as worse than “pigs,” Fox News reports.

On July 1st, Biden welcomed videographer Sara Pearl to his 2020 campaign. Between then and now, we have learned some more information about Pearl which has called her hiring into question — more than just the fact that she had previously worked for the presidential campaign of Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT).

That’s going to be a problem

Since then, a number of anti-police posts were discovered on Pearl’s social media. In one, dated June 1, Pearl tweeted, “#DefundPolice.” Then, only a few days later, she got a bit more specific, opining that Buffalo’s police department should be “defunded immediately.”

In another tweet, Pearl posted a meme, which read, “Please stop calling cops ‘pigs’ … pigs are highly intelligent & empathetic animals who would never racially profile you.”

Pearl followed this up by retweeting a user’s comment that “pigs are sweet, intelligent and compassionate,” but police officers are “monsters” who “don’t deserve to be called pigs.”

Fox reports that after reaching out to Pearl for a comment, the tweets were removed.

Biden 2020 silent

Fox also reached out to the Biden campaign for a comment, and so far has gotten nothing, although the outlet reports that the Biden campaign acknowledged the request. What we want to know, of course, is what Biden is doing by hiring this videographer  — is this some kind of attempt to sway some of those far-left voters that he is going to need this November?

Considering Biden’s stated stance against the “defund the police” movement, it is somewhat surprising that he and his campaign have thus far chosen silence.

Trump 2020 weighs on in

President Donald Trump’s 2020 campaign released its own statement on the matter through campaign adviser Bob Paduchik.

“Now Biden employs a staffer who uses the most vile, inflammatory, and incendiary language to target the brave men and women who risk their own lives to keep us safe,” he wrote. “How can Joe Biden look in the faces of grieving law enforcement families whose loved ones died in the line of duty? Never in history has a major party campaign so angrily fanned the flames of hatred against our nation’s heroes.”

Biden, who is trying to unite leftist Sanders supporters with more moderate Democrat and swing voters, supports various policing reforms but says he does not want to “defund the police.” Trump called Biden out on this Friday, accusing him of wanting to “defund our police” without actually saying so.
