Biden warns of nuclear Armageddon in response to Putin

President Joe Biden warned of a nuclear Armageddon in a discussion about Russia’s escalation in its invasion of Ukraine.

Biden shared the remarks during a fundraiser for the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee on Thursday.

Worst since Cuba?

“We have not faced the prospect of Armageddon since Kennedy and the Cuban Missile Crisis,” Biden said.

“I don’t think there is any such a thing as the ability to easily use a tactical nuclear weapon and not end up with Armageddon,” he added.

Russia’s plans

“It has been widely speculated that Russia could employ tactical nuclear weapons in an effort to turn the tide in its war of aggression against Ukraine,” National Review reported.

“Russian forces have been pushed back toward their own border in recent days, causing observers to wonder whether Russian president Vladimir Putin may, in desperation, turn to weapons of mass destruction,” it added.

The new crisis adds to a growing list of national and international problems Biden faces ahead of crucial midterm elections.

The president also faces oil price increases from decreased production in the Middle East, China’s pressure on Taiwan, North Korea’s aggressions, and a surging border crisis.

Many Americans plan to vote for new leaders next month as there appear to be few answers in sight from Biden and the left despite the president’s words of warning.
