Biden will see massive staffer exodus before midterms, White House official says

An anonymous White House official told the Daily Mail that there would be a “mass exodus” of staffers from the President Joe Biden administration ahead of the midterm elections in November because they were burned out from dealing with multiple crises.

“It’s been a long few years,” the official said. “The burnout is real. It might not be the ideal time to leave with everything going on, but it’s the right time.”

The official said that the exodus would take place in the very near future, while there is still a few months before the midterms. If staffers wait much longer, they will be “locked in” by the intense campaigning of that season, they said.

“Given the complex challenges that the administration is facing, these departures are coming at an inopportune time,” Democratic strategist Joel Payne said.

Not abnormal

“At this point in an administration, it is not abnormal to experience attrition,” he also said.

The mass exodus could be something of a turning point in support for Biden, if a Daily Caller survey of senators is correct.

When the outlet called all 50 Democrat senators to ask if they supported Biden in 2024, only five said yes.

That has to be a scary number for Biden at this point; it isn’t that the other 45 are against him (yet), but they are not currently committed to a Biden run in 2024.

Falling apart?

One DNC member has already come out and said Biden should not run for a second term in 2024 because the country is clearly on the wrong track under his leadership.

“To say our country was on the right track would flagrantly depart from reality,” he said to the New York Times. “[Biden] should announce his intent not to seek re-election in ’24 right after the midterms.”

Even as Biden tries to blame all of the economic problems on Vladimir Putin and deny that any other crises exist, it is hard to believe that someone who has presided over this many problems could get re-elected.

People tend to blame the person or people in charge for whatever problems exist, just like they did with Trump and the coronavirus, even though that was clearly not his fault. No matter how hard Biden tries to pass the buck, it’s just not going to work with a lot of unhappy voters.
