It appears more and more likely that the Second Amendment right to “keep and bear Arms” will be “infringed” by a Joe Biden administration, should one come to pass.
Breitbart reports that Jennifer O’Malley Dillon, the woman who would-be Biden’s White House Deputy Chief of Staff, is in favor of a “mandatory” firearm buyback policy.
Guess for whom she has worked
O’Malley Dillon recently has come into the spotlight as Biden’s 2020 presidential campaign manager. But, before that, she was the campaign manager for Robert “Beto” O’Rourke’s 2020 run.
O’Rourke has become synonymous with gun control. He has openly stated on numerous occasions that “Hell yes” he would take your guns. And, despite some criticism, he has not backed away from that stance one inch.
One of the first times that O’Rourke made that “Hell yes” comment was on September 12, 2019, and, less than a month later, an O’Malley Dillon video appeared in which she herself pushed “mandatory” firearm buybacks.
“We are actually the only campaign with a plan…that supports mandatory buybacks of weapons of war,” she said. “An assault weapon ban is very, very important, and we need to have it. But that only takes weapons of war off the streets in the future. It does nothing for weapons of war that are currently out there.”
We know for certain that if Biden is declared the next president of the United States that O’Malley Dillon will be his chief of staff. Less certain is O’Rourke’s future. Biden, back in March, promised to put O’Rourke in charge of gun control should he win the presidency, but it is unclear whether Biden will follow through on that promise.
Biden isn’t even hiding this one
During his presidential campaign, Biden attempted to distance himself from several far-left positions. But, one of the few things he made clear is that he is in favor of implementing the sort of gun control measures supported by O’Rourke and O’Malley Dillon.
Last November, when asked during a CNN interview whether a Biden administration would come for Americans’ guns, Biden responded, yes, “if you have an assault weapon. The fact of the matter is, they should be illegal, period.”
In September of this year, after an attempted assassination on two Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies, Biden doubled down, saying, “Weapons of war have no place in our communities. We need to ban assault weapons and high-capacity magazines.”
And, if Biden doesn’t outright start a government program to buyback certain guns from Americans, he has made clear in his gun control agenda that at the very least he would require every AR-15 rifle to be registered and potentially taxed at $200 apiece.
It’s plain that, at some point, a Biden administration, if one does come to pass, will lead an assault on the Second Amendment.
