Hunter Biden’s closest business partner during his father’s first term as the vice president met with Joe Biden at the White House and also with close aides to Joe and Jill Biden during a total of 19 visits to the Obama White House between 2010 and 2015, Fox News reported.
President of the Rosemont Seneca firm Eric Schwerin was involved in several of Hunter Biden’s business dealings, both past, and present, and he met with Joe Biden in the West Wing of the White House on November 17, 2010, according to the New York Post.
The visit raises further questions about whether Joe Biden was lying when he said while campaigning for president in 2019, “I have never spoken to my son about his overseas business dealings.”
Some of the dates of Schwerin’s visits to the White House coincide with key moments when Hunter Biden was making multi-million dollar deals with foreign business leaders, including China.
The visitor logs add to the mounting evidence that Hunter Biden repeatedly used his father’s name and position to gain influence with powerful foreign companies and that some of the deals involved access to Joe Biden, then the number two most powerful person in the free world.
Emails from the Hunter Biden laptop showed that Schwerin claimed he was in contact with Joe Biden before the November meeting and suggested that Schwerin would be helping the Vice President cash in on his position as VP when he was out of office.
One email sent to Hunter was titled “JRB Future Memo” and read, “Your Dad just called me (about his mortgage) and mentioned he’d be out a lot soon and not really back until Labor Day … He could use some positive news about his future earnings potential.”
Schwerin also visited the Naval Observatory, where Joe Biden lived, frequently, including holiday parties and an inaugural reception in 2013.
Republicans demand more investigations
The revelations about Schwerin underscored Republican demands for more investigations into alleged Joe Biden corruption involving Hunter Biden, including calls for a special counsel to investigate the allegations.
“It’s increasingly obvious that Hunter Biden’s business revolved around providing access to his father and the highest levers of power. It reeks of pay-to-play. The clear solution is a Special Counsel investigation to fairly investigate the disturbing allegations of Biden family corruption,” Sen Ted Cruz (R-TX) said.
More investigation by the media was also demanded.
”Not everyone gets to meet the Vice President of the United States in the White House. The press should be asking why Hunter Biden’s business associates — like Eric Schwerin — had that privilege and were given access to the Obama White House,” Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) said. “This is additional evidence that Joe Biden lied when he said he never discussed Hunter’s foreign business dealings. It’s well past time for the corporate media to demand the truth from Joe Biden. The corruption of Biden Inc. must be exposed.”
