Biden’s COVID diagnosis causes ‘President Harris’ to trend on twitter

President Joe Biden’s COVID diagnosis has set social media ablaze with talk about a possible Kamala Harris presidency, the Conservative Brief reports

Vice President Harris, of course, would take over for Biden should something happen to him, and, it is this troubling thought that many Twitter users reflected upon on Thursday causing “President Harris” to trend.

He’s COVID-positive

It has been revealed that President Biden tested positive for COVID on Thursday morning. He is reported to be experiencing mild symptoms, which include such things as fatigue, a dry cough, and a runny nose.

Concerns are being raised given that Biden’s age puts him at an increased risk of experiencing coronavirus complications. But, Biden sought to allay those concerns with several messages following the news of his positive diagnosis.

“Folks, I’m doing great. Thanks for your concern,” the message from the president said. “Just called Senator Casey, Congressman Cartwright, and Mayor Cognetti (and my Scranton cousins!) to send my regrets for missing our event today. Keeping busy!”

In a separate video, Biden said, “I’ve been double vaccinated, double boosted, the symptoms are mild.” Accordingly, he called upon his supporters to “keep the faith.”

Biden is now being treated with the drug Paxlovid, which has been shown to keep mild-to-moderate cases of COVID-19 from becoming more severe. Biden will isolate at the White House where he is expected to continue carrying out his presidential duties.

“President Harris”

It wasn’t long after the revelation that Biden is COVID-positive that “President Harris” started trending.

ACT for America’s Brigitte Gabriel summed up the thoughts of many writing, “President Harris would somehow be worse than President Biden. Scary times we’re living in.”

Pro-Trump author Nick Adams even wished Biden a speedy recovery, writing, “Reports are that Joe Biden has COVID. Wishing him a quick recovery. The United States cannot handle one single day with President Harris in office.”

Indeed, as bad as things have been under Biden’s leadership there is every reason to believe that they would be even worse with Harris at the helm. The simple fact is that Harris has not given any indication that she could successfully lead this country. Supporters would be hard pressed to come up with even one success that Harris has had as vice president.

It is thus no surprise that Harris’s average favorability rating sits at only 37%. Some individual polls have even put her in the 20s, which is probably a lot closer to reality.
