Bill Clinton confronted about Jeffrey Epstein ties

Bill Clinton was confronted about his ties to pedophile Jeffrey Epstein on Monday, and his response probably didn’t make his wife very happy.

The former president awkwardly brushed off a reporter’s question and said the “evidence is clear,” the Daily Mail reported.

The former president was campaigning for Democrats in Texas ahead of Tuesday’s midterm elections when he was asked for a comment on Epstein by reporter Juan Mendoza of Real America’s Voice.

Clinton spokesman Angel Ureña could be seen nudging Clinton to move away, as the former president smiles and says, “I think the evidence is clear.”

Clinton’s close ties with Epstein have long drawn scrutiny.

Epstein was a guest at the Clinton White House 17 times, and Clinton is known to have traveled on Epstein’s notorious jet, nicknamed “The Lolita Express.” Strangest of all, Epstein even kept a mysterious portrait at his Manhattan townhouse of Clinton in a blue dress.

“Special friendship”

In court documents unsealed in 2020, Epstein accuser Virginia Giuffre said that she witnessed Clinton on Epstein’s infamous “pedophile island” with “two young girls.”

After Epstein’s arrest in 2019, Clinton spokesman Ureña said that Clinton had “not spoken to Epstein in well over a decade, and he has never been to Little St. James Island, Epstein’s ranch in New Mexico, or his residence in Florida.” But Ureña also conceded that Clinton traveled on Epstein’s jet and met with Epstein twice in New York City in 2002.

Epstein’s unusual death in a Manhattan jail in 2019 was ruled a suicide but led to enduring speculation of a cover-up, including a conspiracy theory that the Clintons were involved.

In a recent interview from jail, Epstein’s former pimp and girlfriend Ghislaine Maxwell, who was a guest at the wedding of Clinton’s daughter Chelsea in 2010, described Clinton as a once close friend.

“It was a special friendship, which continued over the years,” Maxwell, who is serving 20 years for sex trafficking, said of her ties to Clinton. “We had lots in common.”
