Fox News’ Dan Bongino said Saturday on Fox & Friends that there are striking similarities between the way the media covered both the COVID lab leak and Hunter Biden’s laptop.
In both cases, the media dismissed the stories because they didn’t fit into their leftist narrative, he said.
“You guys catch here the similarities between the lab leak story and the Hunter Biden laptop story? … So, you have a story that would be damaging to the leftist political narrative, right?” Bongino started out.
Bongino then explained how the media managed to minimize both stories to the point that most people on the political left know nothing about them or dismiss them as lies without even considering them.
Wash, rinse, repeat
“A set of so-called experts work as intermediaries to squash this story,” he said. “They feed it to a bunch of tier one-level clowns in the media that do no reporting at all and haplessly repeat it. This story damages Donald Trump. Wash, rinse, repeat, right?”
“Now the media is supposed to stop this stuff,” he went on, referring to emails from April 2020 that said a lab leak was the most likely origin of COVID-19.
The media shut down the story because they were given marching orders from Democrats, he said.
“The gullible media, because Donald Trump had said it was probably a lab leak from China, then picks up the experts’ stuff, uses fact-checkers to squash anyone who speaks the truth,” Bongino pointed out.
Bongino then tied together the COVID lab leak story and the Hunter Biden laptop story.
“Tell me how this exact same thing didn’t happen with the Hunter Biden story… This time it’s intelligence experts, [who] jump in and say, ‘That’s not real.’ The dopey clown media goes, ‘Yeah, that’s not real, Scooby,’ and they write this story and it magically goes away, hurting Donald Trump. The exact same story twice,” he said.
The New York Times finally admitted last week that the Hunter Biden laptop was authentic, but that may have been because Hunter is expected to be indicted by the FBI, which has been investigating him since 2019.
I mean, the media does not want to look like complete fools, right?
