On Friday, teenager Kyle Rittenhouse was exonerated over his shooting of three rioters during last year’s unrest in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
While his supporters have long contended that Rittenhouse was acting self-defense, detractors called him a murderous white supremacist. That includes the president, and one lawyer says he could face some legal consequences.
Shortly after the shooting, then presidential candidate Joe Biden put out a tweet that included an image of Rittenhouse walking with his rifle.

“There’s no other way to put it: the President of the United States refused to disavow white supremacists on the debate stage last night,” Biden’s declared following a debate with President Donald Trump.
