Since he assumed office last January, President Joe Biden has done little to stop an unprecedented wave of illegal migrants from entering the United States.
Things have gotten so bad that Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich recently complained that foreign criminals have effectively “seized” sections of the border.
“Every time you think … we’ve hit rock bottom, something else happens,” Brnovich told Fox News host Sean Hannity during an interview on Tuesday.
Known gang members among the record number of illegal border crossers
“There’s a record amount of people flooding into this country this year,” the public official continued. Fox News reported earlier this month that the number of illegal crossers in November were 140 percent higher than at the same time last year.
These include dangerous criminals, with the network noting that four members of the notorious gang MS-13 were arrested by Border Patrol officials in November.
However, Brnovich was quick to point out that dangerous narcotics like fentanyl are also pouring into the country along with illegal aliens.
“Just last week, our office was involved in a record amount of fentanyl seized,” he said. “Americans are dying. Our cities are more dangerous as a result of the failed Biden administration’s policies.”
Drug overdose deaths continue to surge
Indeed, the CDC has announced that over 100,000 people died during a 12 month period ending in April of this year. This figure represents a nearly 29 percent jump over the number of overdose deaths seen 12 months prior.
“This is a real catastrophe,” the Arizona attorney general went on to declare, insisting, “It’s not global warming. This is the manmade disaster.”
“The Biden administration and his enablers like Cartel [Sen. Mark] Kelly have brought this on our country. People are going to die as a result of the failed Biden administration’s policies.”
“Shame on the Biden administration. Shame on … Cartel [Kelly],” stated forcefully. “And that’s why we have to continue to fight,” he said.
Brnovich concluded by compare the situation along America’s southern border to the president’s “abject failure” in withdrawing troops from Afghanistan, observing that both situations have result in the loss of American lives.
