BREAKING: HORRIFIC MURDER – Dead Outside Capital….

A horrifying murder played out near the nation’s Capital late last week that saw a woman in broad daylight.

Fox News reported that on Friday, Alka Himanshu Tanna was on her way out of the Capital One Bank location on New Hampshire Avenue in Silver Spring, Maryland when she was struck by a white Lexus.

Police say husband repeatedly ran over his wife before crashing into a street lamp

According to the Montgomery County Police Department, the vehicle was being driven by her husband, Himanshu Maganlal Tanna.

Authorities allege that Himanshu Tanna struck his wife several times with the car before colliding with a lamp post as well as a column adjacent to the bank.

Police spokesperson Shiera Goff was quoted by Washington’s NBC 4 as saying, “As she was leaving the bank, the husband was driving the white SUV. He drove toward her and intentionally struck her.”

After their arrival, officers are said to have discovered the 59-year-old man alone in his car shortly before noon, whereupon he was arrested and subsequently charged with one count of first degree murder.

Goff went on to explain how the couple arrived at the bank in separate vehicles. She added that no motive for the killing has yet been determined.

“It’s tragic to know that the situation got to that point,” the Montgomery County Police Department spokesperson lamented.

Murder rates are going up sharply in cities across the country

NBC 4 also spoke with witness Harriet McCombs who was inside the building when Mrs. Tanna was struck. She recalled, “One of the bank employees called 911 and tried to describe what was happening.”

In addition to being a tragedy, Alka Tanna’s death is part of a wave of violence that has swept over the United States in recent years.

The FBI reported this past September that America’s homicide rate went up by 30 percent in 2020, and the problem seems to have only gotten worse since.

Fox News noted in December that such major cities as New York City, Chicago, and Philadelphia have been particularly hard hit despite efforts by local Democratic officials to downplay the issue.
