Just 10 days after publication, a new book from Fox News @ Night host Shannon Bream is already breaking records.
According to Mediaite, Bream’s The Women of the Bible Speak, released March 30, has already surged to the top of The New York Times‘ “Advice, How-To & Miscellaneous” bestseller list, with more than 100,000 copies sold.
In fact, Mediaite reports that Bream’s book has outperformed every other advice and nonfiction book released thus far in 2021, and set new records for the year in first-week sales.
A record-setting release
The book also got more than 50,000 preorders, which helped it reach the top of Amazon’s Best Sellers and Hot New Releases lists even before it was officially published.
“It’s incredibly heartening to see people connecting with the message of faith and hope in this book,” Bream said in a statement to Mediaite.
“It was an enormous encouragement to me while writing it, full of God’s promises and compassion,” she added.
“The power of Fox”
According to the new Fox News Books imprint, which published Bream’s book, The Women of the Bible Speak examines the “timeless stories” of “the women of the Bible.”
“Bream opens up the lives of sixteen of these Biblical women, arranging them into pairs and contrasting their journeys,” a description of the book says. “In broadening each woman’s individual story, Shannon offers us a deeper understanding of each, and wisdom and insights that can transform our own lives today.”
Suzanne Scott, CEO of Fox News Media, said in a statement of her own that the success of the new publishing imprint “perfectly illustrates the power of FOX News Media.”
“We are deeply connected to our audience and proud to deliver more of the content they clearly desire across all of our key platforms,” Scott told Mediaite.
A history of success at Fox
Bream’s book is the second to be released through Fox’s new imprint, and comes as part of a three-book deal inked by the network with HarperCollins, Mediaite notes.
It remains unclear when the third book will be released, but considering the early success of Bream’s book — and Fox’s prior release, Modern Warriors: Real Stories from Real Heroes by Fox & Friends Weekend co-host Pete Hegseth — one can only assume more big things are to come where that came from.
