Brian Laundrie’s parents’ recent shopping trip raises suspicions for some

The parents of Brian Laundrie, who is currently the sole “person of interest” in the homicidal death of his fiance, Gabby Petito, have been under intense media scrutinization since their son conveniently vanished right before Petito’s remains were discovered in Wyoming.

According to Fox News, the Laundries have been followed virtually everywhere they go, but on Tuesday, they ran a series of errands that included a trip to Walmart, a FedEx store, a bank, and two AT&T stores that have many wondering if any of those trips are related to their missing son.

Media hounds

Given how eerily silent Chris and Roberta Laundrie have been since the disappearance of their son and Petito’s death, it’s not surprising that given the global attention the case has received, the couple are typically followed everywhere they go.

While they’ve mostly laid low over the past month while a national manhunt for their son unfolds, the two ran several errands to a series of stores that could suggest they’re helping their son out, though that’s nothing more than speculation, and their errands could be as innocent as anyone else’s.

Media reporters first tried to catch up with the Laundries as they exited a local Walmart, with a cart full of supplies such as bottled water, and an air filter. The reporters shouted questions as the couple quickly loaded their truck with the purchases.

They continued their errands by dropping off a package at a nearby FedEx store, and then went on to visit a local bank. Next, they visited an AT&T store but didn’t enter as it was still closed. They would then drive to Sarasota to visit another AT&T store, and spent roughly 30 minutes inside. Once again, they ignored shouted questions from reporters who followed them.

Mixed reactions

As the video footage of the Laundries running their series of errands was posted to social media, some Twitter users suggested that they were getting supplies for their missing son. Others slammed the media for harassing them at every stop.

“Stop harassing’s these people,” another Twitter user wrote.

As it stands, Brian Laundrie is officially a fugitive, given that the FBI charged him with using someone else’s Capital One debit card to take money out of ATM, with many believing that it was Petito’s card. A nationwide manhunt involving federal, state, and local law enforcement officials has been ongoing for just over one month.

Only time will tell if Brian Laundrie is ever found, but in the meantime, his parents will undoubtedly face the wrath of both a curious media and American public until that day comes.
