British court finds actor Kevin Spacey found not guilty on sexual assault allegations

Breitbart reported that veteran actor Kevin Spacey was found not guilty in London this week on charges that he sexually assaulted four men.

According to the Associated Press, the allegations stemmed from a period between 2001 to 2013 when Spacey worked in the British theater scene.

Spacey "enormously grateful to the jury"

"I imagine that many of you can understand that there’s a lot for me to process after what has just happened today," Spacey was quoted as saying outside of Southwark Crown Court on Wednesday.

"I am enormously grateful to the jury for having taken the time to examine all of the evidence and all of the facts carefully before they reached their decision," he added.

This was not Spacey's first time in court over sexual abuse allegations, as he also faced a $40 million lawsuit from "Star Trek: Discovery" actor Anthony Rapp last year.

Rapp accused Spacey of abusing him when he was a minor

Fox News reported this past October that jurors ruled against Rapp, who accused Spacey of preying on him when he was 14 years old.

Jennifer Keller served as Spacey's attorney, and she provided a statement to Fox News that said the actor "is deeply thankful to this particular jury."

"This was a highly educated group of six women and five men, all except one college graduate and most with graduate degrees. Their verdict was swift and decisive. Justice was done today," Keller insisted.

"Mr. Spacey is grateful to live in a country where the citizens have a right to trial by impartial jurors who make their decision based on evidence and not rumor or social media," she continued.

"We're very grateful that this American jury saw through these false allegations. Spacey is deeply grateful. What's next is Mr. Spacey is going to be proving that he's innocent of anything he's been accused of," she concluded.

Rapp said lawsuit was an "opportunity to have my case heard"

For his part, Rapp released a statement that read, "I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to have my case heard before a jury, and I thank the members of the jury for their service."

"Bringing this lawsuit was always about shining a light, as part of the larger movement to stand up against all forms of sexual violence," he declared.

Rapp pledged that he would "keep on advocating for efforts to ensure that we can live and work in a world that is free from sexual violence of any kind."

" A free people [claim] their rights, as derived from the laws of nature."
