Censorship hearing with RFK Jr. takes wild turn

The Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government met Thursday in a hearing that included discussions about Hunter Biden's laptop.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. also testified during the hearing over censorship involving the government and Big Tech.

A journalist's perspective

"Over the last few years, my reporting has been confirmed by virtually every mainstream news outlet, from the Washington Post, to the New York Times, to Politico. No one denies that the laptop is real, that the origin story is exactly what I told you it was in the first place," Breitbart News writer Emma-Jo Morris testified.

"This elaborate censorship conspiracy wasn’t because the information being reported on was false. It was because the information was true, and a threat to the power centers in this country," she added.

Kennedy's concerns

“If the views that you and others have applied to me… were actually true, I can see why I shouldn't be able to testify here today. Those are not true. These are defamations and malignancies that are used to censor me to prevent people from listening to the actual things that I'm saying," Kennedy testified.

"The term ‘malinformation’ was coined to describe information that Facebook and Twitter and the other social media sites understood was true, but that the White House and other federal agencies wanted censored anyway for political reasons because it challenged official orthodoxies," he added.

Censoring the hearing?

Democrats even attempted to censor the hearing, pushing to keep Kennedy from speaking during the event.

"I moved to table Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz’s attempt to censor @RobertKennedyJr by going into executive session," Rep. Thomas Massie tweeted.

"After we won the vote, Mr. Kennedy was allowed to speak. Why are they so afraid to let him be heard?" he added.

The details are coming out in the testimony that shows the government's collusion with social media companies in ways that draw negative attention to Democrats.

Americans now have more of the information about what is happening that is impacting the news that is seen by the public.
