Trump: Under a Biden administration, cities would end up like Minneapolis, Seattle

Last week, President Donald Trump sat down for a 20-minute interview with his eldest son Donald Trump, Jr. for an episode of the latter’s “Triggered” podcast.

During their conversation, the president talked about what a Joe Biden administration would mean for America, and that involved some frightening predictions.

A Biden administration

“I feel that if the Democrats get in, we are literally going to end up in a recession/depression the likes of which you’ve never seen,” President Trump warned.

“It will be tremendous negative growth,” the president continued. “There will be tremendous bedlam all over the place. There won’t be law and order.”

“You’ll have a Seattle — you’ll have a Minneapolis like you’ve never seen before,” the older Trump predicted, arguing, “The whole country will be Minneapolis.”

Both Seattle and Minneapolis have been the scene of widespread violence and lawless disorder following the death of George Floyd while in police custody.

Two people shot in Seattle CHOP

What’s more, a section of downtown Seattle has been taken over by a group of far-left agitators who have dubbed it the Capitol Hill Organized Protest, or CHOP. It was previously known as the Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone (CHAZ).

Law enforcement has withdrawn from the area, and that has led some residents to complain that they are at the mercy of criminals, some of whom are armed.

“We are just sitting ducks all day,” one person told local news affiliate KIRO-TV. “Now every criminal in the city knows they can come into this area and they can do anything they want as long as it isn’t life-threatening, and the police won’t come in to do anything about it.”

The Seattle Times reported on Saturday that there had been a shooting within the zone that left one person dead and another victim in critical condition.

“On June 20th, at approximately 2:30 AM, East Precinct officers responded to a report of shots fired in Cal Anderson Park. This is inside the area referred to as the Capitol Hill Organized Protest (CHOP),” Seattle police said in a statement.

“Officers attempted to locate a shooting victim but were met by a violent crowd that prevented officers safe access to the victims. Officers were later informed that the victims, both males, had been transported to Harborview Medical Center by CHOP ‘medics.'”
