New book ‘details everything that they don’t want you to know’ about 2016 Clinton-Lynch tarmac meeting

It has been more than three and a half years since former President Bill Clinton and then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch “secretly” met on the tarmac of the airport in Phoenix, Arizona in June 2016, just days before the FBI announced no charges for former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton over her unauthorized private email server.

But questions about the mysterious meeting haven’t gone away. Now, the reporter who originally broke the story is back with a new book, detailing everything he’s learned since then.

“A planned meeting,” “not a coincidence”

Journalist Christopher Sign appeared on “Fox & Friends” on Monday to discuss his new book, “Secret on the Tarmac,” which documents the clandestine meeting between the top law enforcement official of the Obama administration and a former president who also happened to be the spouse of a political candidate at the center of an FBI investigation.

“When I broke this story, we knew that something had occurred here that was a bit unusual,” Sign said. “It was a planned meeting, it was not a coincidence.”

“It was planned, it happened, and this details everything that they don’t want you to know and everything they think you forgot,” he said of his book. “But Bill Clinton was on that plane for 20 minutes, and it wasn’t just about golf, grandkids, Brexit — there’s so much that doesn’t add up, and even as time has passed, there’s so much, I think, that even Loretta Lynch and Bill Clinton have forgotten.”

Secret source provides details

Asked how he knew the meeting was planned and not just “happenstance,” Sign said, “I have a source that walks me through it from Point A to Point B to Point Z, and my source saw it all unfold and says that when Bill Clinton arrived at the airport, he waited.”

“He knew Loretta Lynch was taxiing, the plane was moving. He then sat and waited in his car, with the motorcade,” he continued. “Her airstairs came down, most of her staff gets off, he then gets on as the Secret Service and FBI are figuring out, ‘How in the world are we supposed to handle this? What are we going to do?'”

“You know, this story isn’t about right or left, Republican or Democrat. It’s about right and wrong and journalism, and that was my focus of this. It’s about real journalism and getting to the facts,” Sign added.

Where’s the rest of the media?

Asked why the story hadn’t received more media attention, Sign replied, “You and I are on the same page on this. As journalists, you have to ask yourself why are people not delving into this, why are we not looking into what exactly happened.”

Sign recalled how Lynch had testified in December of 2018 before the House Oversight Committee that “Bill Clinton flattered her, talked about Eric Holder, talked about how things were going at Justice, talked about her job performance — not this ‘golf, grandkids, Brexit.'”
