A new report on Thursday noted growing concerns regarding whether California Democratic Sen. Dianne Feinstein is mentally fit to continue serving in office.
The San Francisco Chronicle shared the report, noting calls from within her own party for the senator to retire.
She’s been in office long enough!

The calls for Feinstein to retire are not new. At 88 years old, she was denied endorsement by her own state’s party in the last re-election campaign in 2018.
“Four U.S. senators, including three Democrats, as well as three former Feinstein staffers and the California Democratic member of Congress told The Chronicle in recent interviews that her memory is rapidly deteriorating,” the Chronicle said.
“They said it appears she can no longer fulfill her job duties without her staff doing much of the work required to represent the nearly 40 million people of California,” the report added.
She’s not the only aging leader in Washington. President Joe Biden will turn 80 later this year, with some showing concern over his “mental fitness” as well.
The reports about Feinstein are difficult, but also remain important as her role influences the direction of her state and the nation.
