In recent days, President Joe Biden has seen some of his strongest allies, both in politics and in the mainstream media, begin to question his capability of running in 2024, which he’s vowed to do.
The Daily Caller upped the ante and took the political temperature in Congress by contacting all 50 Democratic senators to find out whether or not they support Biden in a 2024 bid for a second term. Amazingly, only five have responded with “yes.”
Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), unsurprisingly, was a “yes” response. So were Sens. Tim Kaine (D-VA) and Jack Reed (D-RI).
“Yes, Senator Booker supports President Biden for re-election should he run again in 2024,” Sen. Cory Booker’s (D-NJ) replied.
Dems pulling away
It’s not easy to determine why Democrats from all corners of the political sphere are pulling away — some more obvious than others — from the failing president.
Biden’s polling numbers are abysmal, to be kind. He and his administration have dropped the ball on a number of crises that have a direct effect on the American way of life, with record-setting inflation claiming the top of that list.
High gas prices, sky-high grocery costs, and the rising cost of everyday goods, services, and materials — with no end in sight — have voters across the country, especially those in the middle, rethinking ever voting Democrat again.
Democratic candidates, who live and die by the latest polls, understand that voters, overall, are ticked off. They’re mad, tired of being broke, and tired of an administration with seemingly no solution, so the Democratic candidates with half a brain are doing their best to not associate themselves with the current White House.
Media steps up
Even usually friendly mainstream media sources, such as CNN, have began questioning Biden’s ability to realistically run again in 2024.
Shocking everyone who was watching, CNN’s Don Lemon posed that very question to White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, who was clearly taken aback for receiving an honest question from one of the Biden administration’s loyal media pawns.
DON LEMON: “Does the president has the stamina, physically and mentally, do you think to continue on even after 2024?”
KARINE JEAN-PIERRE: “That is not a question that we should be even asking” pic.twitter.com/dUfQil9qKp

A number of other networks and shows have also used similar rhetoric, which many believe is a clear signal that after the 2022 midterms, Biden will gently be pushed out of the picture well ahead of the 2024 race.
