‘Full House’ stars speak out after Bob Saget’s death: ‘I am gutted’

Beloved television icon and comedian Bob Saget died suddenly on Sunday at the age of 65.

According to The Daily Wire, the tragic news led to an outpouring of grief from fans across America as well as the actor’s former co-stars.

“I am gutted”

“I don’t know what to say,” tweeted Candace Cameron Bure, who appeared alongside Saget as his character’s eldest daughter on the hit ABC sitcom Full House.

“I have no words,” Bure continued, calling her former co-star “one of the best humans beings I’ve ever known in my life.” She added, “I loved him so much.”

Fellow Full House alum John Stamos declared he was “broken” upon hearing the news of his friend and colleague’s passing.

“I am gutted,” Stamos wrote in a tweet. “I am in complete and utter shock. I will never ever have another friend like him. I love you so much Bobby.”

“A friend to all of us”

Actress Jodie Sweetin, who also appeared on the show, similarly posted a heartfelt tribute to Saget on social media.

“Thirty-five years ago, we came together as a TV family, but we became a real family,” Sweetin, who played another of Saget’s daughters, wrote in an Instagram post signed by the rest of the main cast of Full House. “And now we grieve as a family.”

The post added:

Bob made us laugh until we cried. Now our tears flow in sadness, but also with gratitude for all the beautiful memories of our sweet, kind, hilarious, cherished Bob. He was a brother to us guys, a father to us girls and a friend to all of us. Bob, we love you dearly.

Cause of death unclear

In addition to playing the father figure Danny Tanner on Full House from 1987 to 1995, Saget was also known for his time hosting America’s Funniest Home Videos.

Saget was also cast as the narrator on CBS’s Emmy Award-winning sitcom How I Met Your Mother, which ran from 2005 to 2014.

Fox News reports that the veteran actor was found dead Sunday in an Orlando hotel room. Authorities said there was no evidence of drug use or foul play.
