Like her pal Joe Biden and countless other government crooks, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) has found that “public service” can be incredibly rewarding.
The career politician has up to $315 million to her name, Fox News anchor Jesse Watters claimed in a recent segment that questioned where the Democrat lawmaker got her vast wealth and shared evidence suggesting she may have profited over the years from insider trading.
She got rich while in Congress
Although Pelosi’s income is in the “low six-figures,” she has “somehow very easily become one of the richest members of Congress” through her husband Paul, a venture capitalist who helped launch her political career in the 1980s, Watters said. The Fox host pointed to a number of major investments the Pelosis made over the years that seemed to be too well-timed to be coincidental.
He mentioned that Paul was “basically accused…of insider trading” by CBS in 2011 — claims Pelosi has dismissed as a “right-wing smear” — over investments in Visa that raised eyebrows. Visa lobbied the Pelosis with an IPO in 2008 and Pelosi ended up backing off of legislation targeting the company.
“The Pelosis have never been indicted for insider trading, but her marriage investments and access, combined with extremely fortunate timing, have created a lot of suspicions,” Watters said, according to Fox.
Pelosi has continued to make shady investments even into 2021. In March, the Pelosis exercised $2 million in Microsoft options right before the software giant struck a deal to equip the U.S. army with headsets, Watters claimed. And in January, he said, the Pelosis bought Tesla stock shortly before President Biden announced incentives for electric cars.
An American oligarch
While Pelosi has been in Congress for 34 years, her wealth has increased nearly threefold in just the last few years alone, Watters said, up from around $100 million in 2018, when she reclaimed the speakership, to as high as $315 million in 2020.
She has a 16-acre vineyard in California’s Napa Valley, a multimillion-dollar red-brick mansion in San Francisco, and a luxurious waterfront condo in Washington, Watters noted.
Like Biden, who still pretends to be a middle-class stiff despite becoming a millionaire through book deals and shameless influence peddling, there’s no doubt that Pelosi has firmly established herself within America’s oligarchy.
While Pelosi and Biden have prospered after decades in power, years of neglect and abuse from corrupt leaders like them have made life for the average American poorer and more chaotic, as offshoring, drugs, and moral degeneracy have decimated working-class communities.
Having secured their plunder, Pelosi and Biden are well past retirement age, but are still working around the clock to destroy what is left of the American Dream for those who did not share their opportunities to scam the American people left and right for generations.
