Emails portray Joe Biden as more involved in son’s business deals than previously thought

Hunter Biden has long faced questions about his financial dealings, though Democratic operatives and mainstream media outlets have insisted that his father, President Joe Biden, is not connected to those issues.

A new report, however, suggests that the president might be more involved in his son’s affairs than was previously acknowledged.

“Depositing it in his account”

The Daily Mail published additional emails reportedly found on the younger Biden’s laptop, which was abandoned at a computer repair shop in Delaware.

Those messages include the revelation that a business partner, Eric Schwerin, had worked on then-Vice President Joe Biden’s taxes during the Obama administration.

Furthermore, a June 2010 email appeared to confirm that the father and son shared a bank account and had paid one another’s bills.

“Your Dad’s Delaware tax refund check came today,” Schwerin reportedly wrote to Hunter Biden. “I am depositing it in his account and writing a check in that amount to you since he owes it to you.”

He added that Biden could “run it by” his father if he wished and, if not, he would deposit the funds the next day.

“More and more serious”

These details came to light a little less than a year after Hunter Biden admitted his taxes were under federal investigation. Constitutional law expert Jonathan Turley the situation should justify the appointment of a special counsel to the case.

“With these disclosures, we have accounts being used to pay both Hunter and Joe Biden and money being reimbursed to Hunter Biden from an individual associated with a company called Rosemont Seneca,” he said during a Fox News interview on Wednesday.

The controversy is “getting more and more serious,” Turley added, citing the firm’s apparent financial ties to China and Russia.

The law professor questioned “why the Justice Department hasn’t considered” appointing a special counsel, concluding that “there are also serious questions about whether the Biden family conducted an extensive influence-peddling operation involving not just Hunter but his uncle and potentially the president of the United States.”

While most Americans might believe that a president’s children should be off-limits to political attacks, it seems increasingly likely that Hunter Biden’s dubious dealings are directly tied to his father’s actions.
