Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden has been avoiding answering questions about his son Hunter Biden’s business dealings overseas while he himself served as U.S. Vice President — but this story isn’t going away.
Fox News is now reporting that a source has confirmed bombshell emails that appear to detail Hunter Biden’s business negotiations with a Chinese equity firm, which apparently even involved then-vice president Joe Biden himself.
First reported by the New York Post earlier this week, the emails were discovered on a laptop computer that was abandoned at a computer repair shop last year, along with other communications involving Biden’s dealings in Ukraine and more. The FBI reportedly seized the computer last year, but a copy of the data was eventually obtained by Rudy Giuliani, President Donald Trump’s personal lawyer, who released it to the Post.
Source verifies China email thread
Fox reports: “One email, dated May 13, 2017, and obtained by Fox News, includes a discussion of ‘remuneration packages’ for six people in a business deal with a Chinese energy firm. The email appeared to identify Hunter Biden as ‘Chair / Vice Chair depending on agreement with CEFC,’ in an apparent reference to now-bankrupt CEFC China Energy Co.”
Fox continues: “The email includes a note that ‘Hunter has some office expectations he will elaborate.’ A proposed equity split references ’20” for ‘H’ and ’10 held by H for the big guy?’ with no further details.”
It’s pretty clear that some sort of business deal is being worked out here. But the key question is whether the email is or is not authentic.
On Friday night, Fox News reported that one of the individuals who was copied on the email thread has “corroborated the veracity of the messages.”
Sources: Joe Biden is “the big guy”
Not only that, but according to Fox’s sources, “the big guy” referred to in the email is none other than the then-vice president himself, Joe Biden.
So, what could the email be saying when it says “10 held by H for the big guy?” Perhaps, $10,000 or 10 percent equity held by Hunter Biden for Joe Biden?
And, why would the then-vice president of the United States be getting a cut of a business deal involving a Chinese energy firm? Does that mean that he played some part in the deal?
Biden campaign must respond
These are all questions that Biden and his campaign team need to answer. The non-explanations put out so far aren’t going to cut it.
With the election right around the corner, this could be a campaign-ending story. But the media and Big Tech seem to be doing everything in their power to bury it — which is arguably an even bigger scandal.
