Announcement not campaign-related
Fox News noted that the post caused considerable speculation among fan of DeSantis, with some suggesting that the governor might say that he is running for president.
However, Pushaw later followed up with an additional tweet which clarified that DeSantis is planning to run for another term in 2024 and that the announcement would not be political in nature.
He already announced he’s running for re-election as governor 😀 All I can say about the surprise announcement tomorrow is that it’s not about anything campaign related. It’s official business https://t.co/K4udVhxU6K

DeSantis removes left-wing prosecutor
The New York Post revealed on Thursday that DeSantis’ big announcement was that he had decided to remove the George Soros-backed Hillsborough County State Attorney Andrew Warren.
Prosecutors have a duty to enforce the law, not pick and choose which laws they agree with.

DeSantis accused Warren of adopting the same soft on crime policies as recently recalled San Francisco District Attorney Chesa Boudin, who also benefited from Soros’ support.
“The places that voted to keep him were affluent communities who are not bearing the brunt of the policies,” DeSantis declared.
“The places that voted to recall him were the working-class communities because they bear the burden of ignorance and refusal to enforce the law,” the governor added.
For his part, Soros promised in a opinion piece published by The Wall Street Journal on Sunday that he would continue his support for left-wing prosecutors.
