Fresh aerial footage shows U.S. Border is “wide open.” Under the Biden administration’s relaxed border policies, this traffic has exploded. Local sources placed the number at approximately 15,000 people on September 20. Fox reports that this number has since been processed and reduced to 8,600 people under the international bridge.
Despite reduced numbers, Border Patrol is losing the capacity to process the major influx of people coming into the United States at the Rio Grande crossing.
Border crossing influx reached a peak in mid-September, and the U.S. border is now “wide open.”
Aerial footage taken live at 12:31 pm CT September 17 via helicopter by FOX News Los Angeles, revealed a new wave of migrant traffic at the U.S. border with Mexico at the Del Rio, Texas crossing. Bill Melugin, who reported from the air with Fox News, gave updates on the scene at the border.
What FOX LA’s air footage found out:
- Crossing traffic is severely congested; there are not enough Border Patrol agents to process all the people coming in.
- Border Patrol, as of September 17, was “completely overcapacity.”
- Crossings were reported as being”non-stop,” as of Sept. 17 crossing influx.
- Migrants who could not access the bridge were seen coming up from the Rio Grande via dirt paths.
Updates September 21
Melugin followed up mid-morning on September 21. He reports that Coast Guard aircraft have arrived at the scene of Del Rio airport. These crafts have been picking up migrants and taking them away from the Rio Grande location at the Del Rio crossing. The destination of the departing flight was unknown. The flight carried family units, kids, and single adults. Melugin states that some of the men of this group appeared to be “cuffed and zip tied.” Footage below:

Melugin states that FOX LA was told these flights come “every hour or two.” The migrants are air-lifted to Border Patrol centers for processing.
“We’re told by folks at the airport that these flights are coming and going every hour or two and that they are taking the migrants to other Border Patrol facilities for processing,” reported Melugin, the morning of September 21.
Meanwhile, Texas Governor Greg Abbott has gone to the scene of the international bridge crossing to address the influx crisis.
Benny Johnson, conservative commentator for The Benny Show podcast, called out the Biden administration for the “shocking,” footage.
“This is BIDEN’S border crisis,” tweeted Johnson.
Anger is growing among Conservatives over the Biden administration’s border policy. As the Border crisis continues to escalate, America’s domestic security hangs in the balance. Mainstream media reports Republican reaction messages as “attacks against Biden,” and used language that celebrated the heated Democrat response.
Reuters wrote that Kevin McCarthy and other Republican members of Congress had visited the U.S. Border “to blame Biden for the suffering migrants arriving at the border.” Democrats targeted McCarthy directly for his stance on the border issues.
Don Winslow, author of The Border/The Force/The Savages, accused Republicans of “distorting” and “weaponizing” the border crisis. As seen below:
Allowing Republicans to distort, control and weaponize the border is the single biggest mistake Democrats are making right now.
This could be a disastrous error in 2022 and lead to Republicans taking control of the House and Kevin McCarthy becoming Speaker of the House.

MSM and Democrat statements on the border crisis has drawn even greater furor from Conservatives, resulting in a “message war” between the Right and the Left over increasing border policy issues.
