Former President Donald Trump experienced what was presumably some unexpected backlash after a private dinner he had with Ye West, and two controversial figures, including Nick Fuentes.
According to Breitbart, some of Trump’s associates have recommended that he disavow West and Fuentes over their recent controversies concerning antisemitic remarks.
Former U.S. Ambassador to Israel David M. Friedman was one of those former associates.
Friedman urged Trump to rebuke the two men in a tweet this week.
“To my friend”
The former Israeli ambassador held nothing back as he bluntly begged his former boss to stamp out controversial figures in his life, like West and Fuentes.
“To my friend Donald Trump, you are better than this. Even a social visit from an antisemite like Kanye West and human scum like Nick Fuentes is unacceptable. I urge you to throw those bums out, disavow them and relegate them to the dustbin of history where they belong,” Friedman tweeted Friday.

Friedman added, “I condemned Barak [sic] Obama associating with Louis Farrakhan and Jeremiah Wright. This is no different. Antisemites deserve no quarter among American leaders, right or left.”
Trump clarifies
For his part, the former president addressed the situation in multiple posts on his Truth Social platform, claiming he knew nothing of Nick Fuentes, and labeled West as a “troubled man” in another post.
“So I help a seriously troubled man, who just happens to be black, Ye (Kanye West), who has been decimated in his business and virtually everything else, and who has always been good to me, by allowing his request for a meeting at Mar-a-Lago, alone, so that I can give him very much needed ‘advice,'” Trump wrote.
Trump added: “He shows up with 3 people, two of which I didn’t know, the other a political person who I haven’t seen in years. I told him don’t run for office, a total waste of time, can’t win. Fake News went CRAZY!”
The establishment media did, in fact, go crazy. But it’s not surprising, as Trump will be one of the major Republican forces moving closer to the 2024 presidential race, and they’ll likely do anything they can to make him look as bad as possible in the meantime, as they’ve tried to do for six years now.
