A former federal prosecutor says that if Hunter Biden was anyone other than Joe Biden’s son, he would have already been indicted, Fox News reports.
This comes after the recent Washington Post article that authenticated Hunter Biden’s infamous laptop along with some of its contents. The Post did so as part of a report detailing a deal that Hunter Biden tried to make with the CEFC China Energy conglomerate.
The prosecutor who opined that Hunter Biden should have already been indicted is Brett Tolman.
Tolman is a former U.S. Attorney for Utah. Currently, he is the executive director of Right on Crime, which is part of the nonprofit Texas Public Policy Foundation.
Where’s the indictment?
Tolman recently made an appearance on the Fox News Channel’s Fox & Friends, where he said, “[if Hunter Biden was] anybody else in this country, we would have seen these indictments probably before the election.”
Tolman noted that “the US attorney in Delaware … has had this case for a long time,” yet we still haven’t seen anything.
Well, from [Tony] Bobulinski testimony, who was a business partner of Hunter Biden’s, along with the contents of several emails, you have the possibility that it’s Jill Biden, Joe Biden, and James Biden, the uncle, as well as Hunter Biden and then various others that facilitated their ability to take money from countries – large amounts, millions of dollars we’re talking about – and to be able to hide that from the government and to hide what they were buying with that money.
He then suggested that, perhaps, the reason that we haven’t seen an indictment of Hunter Biden is that officials might be “afraid to see, maybe, access that was given to the vice president [i.e. Joe Biden] at the time.”
What should have happened:
Tolman went on to reveal how he would have handled the Hunter Biden situation.
“I would be issuing, months ago, I would have issued search warrants,” he said. “I would have requested FISA warrants to uncover what was happening with China.”
Hunter Biden is currently under investigation by the FBI. The FBI is investigating Hunter Biden’s tax returns as well as his overseas business dealings, particularly with communist China.
The president’s son has maintained that he will be cleared of all wrongdoing because he has done nothing wrong. He says that he has been fully participating with authorities.
