Fox News contributor calls for Eric Adams to be fired over toddler mask mandate

New York City mayor Eric Adams (D) has come under fire for his arbitrary and cruel decision to force toddlers to wear masks.

Fox News medical contributor Nicole Saphier told “America Reports” Monday that Adams should be fired over the “negligent” policy.

Adams is “negligent”

New York City is requiring masks specifically for schoolchildren under five because they are not eligible to receive the COVID vaccine that Democrats want to force everyone to take.

A Staten Island court froze Adams’ toddler mandate, calling it “arbitrary, capricious, and unreasonable,” but Adams has fought to keep it in effect.

Dr. Saphier blasted mayor Adams for enacting mask policies with no basis in data that “will only cause harm” to children.

There “is no strong evidence to show school mask mandates of children wearing masks actually has any effect on transmission,” she noted.

“Children should not be masked and the New York City mayor who is continuing to mask toddlers–it is upsetting and negligent and he should be removed from office at this point because he’s making these points without any data to back it up. It will only cause harm,” she said.

Twisted priorities

Despite concerns that forcing toddlers to wear masks impairs speech development, and the well-established finding that COVID poses little risk to children, New York’s cowardly Democratic mayor says he is “totally at the mercy” of the city’s public health bureaucrats.

“Trust me when I tell you I want to see the faces of our children, but as I stated, I must move with the science and my health care team that I speak with every morning,” he said.

Meanwhile, Adams has given exemptions to his city’s draconian vaccine mandate for famous athletes and performers — just more evidence that the Democratic party’s pandemic response is a political sham. The city’s mandate still applies to millions of ordinary public and even private sector workers.

As Adams and his fellow Democrats continue to push pandemic theater, crime is spiraling out of control, despite the new mayor’s promise to do something about the problem. On Tuesday morning, a gunman opened fire on the subway in Brooklyn, injuring 28 people, including at least 10 who were shot.

Doesn’t Eric Adams have bigger problems than policing toddlers?
