Former Republican House Speaker Newt Gingrich said on Sunday during a radio interview on “The Cats Roundtable” that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is a “dictator” with “no respect for the law.”
“As a former speaker of the House, I think that the U.S. House is very, very, very important,” Gingrich said, according to Breitbart News.
“And watching [Pelosi] become a dictator, watching her break every single rule, watching her run things entirely on her own, I think, is the most destructive thing I’ve seen done by any American politician in a very, very long time. And I think that we will see for years from now that problem,” he added.
Gingrich also reported concerning Pelosi’s involvement in President Joe Biden’s border crisis. “[T]here’s no respect for the rule of law at the border,” he added.
“There’s no respect for the rule of law when it gets involved in an issue that the left-wing cares about,” Gingrich continued.
Pelosi has continued to show her disrespect through her treatment of House members as well. Her recent mask mandate on the Capitol Grounds has led to threats of arrests and fines.
However, a growing number of maskless Pelosi photos continue to surface, revealing once again her inability to keep her own rules.

Jan. 6 Committee
Pelosi has also shown her power through the recent launch of a select House committee to investigate Jan. 6. She started the group following failed legislation to start a more formal investigation.
The original group was to include eight Democrats and five Republicans. Pelosi rejected two of House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy’s picks, leading him to step away from the effort.
Pelosi included just two Republicans. Both supported Trump’s impeachment following Jan. 6.
The House Speaker’s disdain for working with others in the House and power overreach may be part of her undoing. Republicans are increasingly expected to win back power in the House after the 2020 midterms, a change that would remove Pelosi from her job as House Speaker.
