Republicans, including Republican candidates for the November midterm elections, are capitalizing on the gross display of government overreach by President Joe Biden’s FBI and Department of Justice with regard to the still-mysterious raid on former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago private residence.
According to Breitbart, GOP candidates across the country, many of them backed by Trump, are torching the FBI, with one saying the raid was nothing less than an “incredibly horrendous abuse of power.”
At the time of this writing, nearly 48 hours after the raid on Mar-a-Lago, the Justice Department and the FBI still haven’t released even a single sentence in the form of a statement explaining what happened.
Even a growing number of Democrats are now calling on the DOJ to say something — anything.
Arizona GOP gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake released a statement on the situation.
“This is one of the darkest days in American history: the day our Government, originally created by the people, turned against us. This illegitimate, corrupt Regime hates America and has weaponized the entirety of the Federal Government to take down President Donald Trump,” she wrote.
Lake added: “Our Government is rotten to the core. These tyrants will stop at nothing to silence the Patriots who are working hard to save America. This is an incredibly horrendous abuse of power.”
“If we accept it, America is dead.”
GOP nominee for Senate in Ohio, J.D. Vance, released a statement via Twitter, and questioned the future of the country.
Little to add on the details of the raid on Trump’s home: it is disgraceful and unprecedented. The question is what comes next. We either have Republic or we don’t. If we do, the people who’ve politicized the FBI in recent years will face investigation and prosecution.

On Wednesday, as reporters begged for even a word or two from the president regarding the raid, President Biden boarded a jet bound for a private, luxury vacation destination.
It’ll be interesting to see just how long the FBI and DOJ remain silent.
