GOP Rep. Jordan hints at investigation into Dr. Fauci if GOP retakes the House in 2022

Predictions are that Republicans will take back the U.S. House of Representatives in 2022. One congressman just gave us a preview of something to expect if this were to happen.

Breitbart reports Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) as indicating that an investigation of Dr. Anthony Fauci, the Biden administration’s chief medical examiner, will almost certainly take place.

“The top investigation”

Many questions have been raised about Fauci’s involvement in the dangerous gain of function research that was likely taking place in the Wuhan virology lab when the coronavirus outbreak occurred. According to Jordan, if the Republicans were to win the House in 2022, the Oversight Committee will look into this.

“The top investigation — which I think will primarily be done on the Oversight Committee — is on Fauci and the gain of function and the lab leak, which is the most likely scenario how we got this virus,” Jordan said.

Although, originally, the narrative being pushed was that the coronavirus pandemic began with a human getting infected from an animal, evidence for this has never been found. And, over time, more people have taken the position that a leak at the Wuhan lab that was studying coronaviruses is a far more likely scenario.

Reports have emerged suggesting that Fauci facilitated gain-of-function research at that Wuhan lab with taxpayer money. Fauci, however, has denied this by altering the definition of gain-of-function research.

And, with the Biden administration’s support, Fauci has continued to take center stage with regard to the coronavirus, pushing vaccines and mandates and telling people to stay away from unvaccinated family members during the holidays.

The “oversight you’re supposed to do”

Jordan, during the interview, went on to contrast a potential investigation of Fauci with the “investigation” currently being led by House Democrats into the events of January 6th, 2021, which Jordan referred to as a “political attack.”

“If the Democrats go down this road of kicking Republicans off committees, trying to put a good man in prison, like Mark Meadows — they shouldn’t do this stuff — but if they’re going to, if they’re going to cross this bridge, if it’s good enough for one side, it should apply to the other as well,” Jordan said.

Jordan also suggested that another investigation we might see from a Republican-led House is one into the Department of Justice’s targeting, at the behest of the National School Boards Association (NSBA), of parents.

And, he suggested yet another investigation would be into the southern border crisis.

In short, some good things can be on the horizon if Republicans manage to retake the House in 2022.
