In the wake of the 2022 midterm elections, former President Donald Trump has been on a tear, going after fellow Republicans like Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin and Gov. Ron DeSantis of Florida.
According to Breitbart, Youngkin, unlike DeSantis, responded to Trump’s sudden attack angle.
The Virginia governor at first deflected, saying he was only interested in bringing people together.
Trump, in his insult, took a shot at the Virginia governor’s last name, saying when you separate it into “Young kin,” it sounds “Chinese.”
“I didn’t see it”
The Republican governor went on to say that he “didn’t see it,” referring to Trump’s message, which was posted on the former president’s Truth Social network.

“I didn’t see it… You all know me. I do not call people names. I really work hard to bring people together, and that’s what we’re working on here,” Youngkin said.

Attacks on DeSantis
Trump has been heavily criticized and equally praised for seemingly kicking off the 2024 presidential election by taking shots at his main rival, Gov. DeSantis.
The former president has referred to the popular Florida governor several times in the past week as “Ron DeSanctimonious.”
TRUMP: “Ron DeSanctimonious is playing games!”
“Ron came to me in desperate shape in 2017 — he was politically dead, losing in a landslide to a very good Agriculture Commissioner.” https://t.co/3mA1aqnLYf pic.twitter.com/QLAVe2HHPj

So far, DeSantis hasn’t responded to the former president’s verbal shots. Only time will tell what happens between the two, but there are still millions of people who would love nothing more than to see the two powerful Republicans work together in the coming months and years.
