A George Soros-backed prosecutor may be about to face the wrath of President Donald Trump.
According to the Washington Examiner, Missouri Gov. Mike Parson (R) said Tuesday that Trump and Attorney General Bill Barr may soon intervene in a Democrat prosecutor’s pending case against Mark and Patricia McCloskey. The couple was seen in viral video standing in front of their home in St. Louis, guns drawn, as protesters aligned with the Black Lives Matter movement “marched through the private neighborhood” late last month, according to Fox News.
The situation in St. Louis
According to the Examiner, Parson detailed his recent conversation with Trump and a representative for Barr at a press conference Tuesday. The governor said Trump “would do everything he could within his powers to help with this situation,” the Examiner reported.
The “situation” began in late June, when video footage emerged of the McCloskeys standing outside of their home, brandishing firearms, as the Examiner noted. In a clip shared by Fox News, Mark McCloskey was seen holding a rifle and his wife held a small handgun while protesters lined the streets in front of their house.

“So many threats”
According to a separate report from the Examiner, Patricia McCloskey told Fox’s Sean Hannity earlier this month that she and her husband were afraid the protesters were going to kill them or burn their house down.
“They were going to come in there. They were going to burn down the house. They were going to be living in our house after I was dead,” she said, as the Examiner reported. “They pointed to different rooms and said, ‘That’s going to be my bedroom, and that’s going to be the living room, and I’m going to be taking a shower in that room.’ … There were so many threats. Then, the dog barked, and they said, ‘I’m going to be killing her, too,’ or ‘it, too.'”
Accordingly, the couple protected themselves and their property. But in the weeks following, the Examiner reported that the McCloskeys had been placed under investigation by St. Louis Circuit Attorney Kimberly Gardner, a Democrat who, according to Fox News, has the support of George Soros. A search warrant was executed at the McCloskeys’ home, and Mark’s rifle was seized.
Trump steps in
Now, reports indicate that an indictment against the couple could be pending. But Trump has apparently vowed to step in.
“I think the president and the attorney general of the United States are going to take a look at it,” Gov. Parson said Tuesday, according to the Examiner. “The president doesn’t like what he’s seeing and the way these people are being treated. I know the attorney general was represented on that phone call today, so I think you’ll see some sort of actions. I think they’re going to look into things.”
Parson also said that he doesn’t “want to make it sound like he’s going to come in here and remove somebody from office, but I’m going to guarantee you the president’s focused on what’s happening here,” the Examiner reported. He also expressed gratitude toward Trump for his promise to “stand up for people and their legal rights.”
“[Trump] understands the situation in St. Louis and how out of control it is for a prosecutor to let violent criminals off and not do their job and try to attack law-abiding citizens,” the governor said, according to the Examiner.
